A Marathon man was arrested on Sunday after attempting to elude State Troopers on a motorcycle at around 4:00 in the evening.

State Police say they saw 36-year-old Jeremy Nye at the intersection of State routes 221 and 11 when he revved his engine and took off at a high speed.

Nye initially tried to escape the troopers in pursuit, but eventually laid down his bike and surrendered.

An investigation revealed his BAC to be about .20. He was arrested, arraigned in Marathon town court and remanded to Cortland County Jail.
