A woman was rescued in Ithaca last night after falling about 30 feet off a narrow trail into a gorge at Six Mile Creek.
Ithaca emergency officials were called to the scene at about 8:00 p.m last night, where they found the woman alive but severely injured and unable to walk.
The Ithaca Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance worked at the scene in order to rescue the woman, treat her injuries and transport her to a nearby trauma center.
The entire rescue took about 2 hours to complete. Tompkins County Sheriffs were also on scene and are now investigating the incident.
