The U.S.Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service reminds everyone that the data collection for the 2017 Census of Agriculture ends this Tuesday (July 31)
Anyone who has received the Census questionnaire is required by law to submit their responses by that date, even if it is to inform the NASS that they are not, or no longer, a farm.
The Census of Agriculture is conducted once every 5 years and is the only comprehensive source for agricultural data on every state in the nation. Data from the Census is used in determining future decisions regarding the farming industry.
The data from the 2017 Census of Agriculture is planned to be released in February 2019.
If you need to complete the survey, you can do so online at AgCensus.USDA.gov or call (888) 424-7828.
