Trooper Arrest Women Found Slumped Over Wheel, Theft Of Service Arrest, Driver Arrested With No License & Drugs

The New York State Police have arrested Nicole Willis, 36, of Dryden, for felony of driving while impaired by drugs, according to a press release.

On Thursday morning (July 5th) just after 8am,  Cortland County 911 got a a report of a person slumped over in a vehicle on Heath Camp Road in Homer.

The trooper determined after a quick interview that she was impaired.

Willis was arrested and released on an appearance ticket and released to a third party.

She’s due in Town of Homer Court today.


In a press release from Cortland Police, 25 year old Xavier Perez was arrested just past midnight last night on Main Street.

He had an arrest warrant from June 2nd for not paying his tab at Woodman’s Pub, also on Main Street.

He was charged with theft of service, and is being held for arraignment in Cortland City Court.


Police tell us a Cincinnatus man was arrested this morning on Main Street for not having a driver’s license.

Cortland City Police arrested Daniel Lane, 18, around 1:15am for not having a driver’s license. He was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, after police found him in possession of Saboxon, a prescription drug.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Cortland City Court on July 27th.
