NBT Bank Senior Vice President and Residential Mortgage Manager Joseph Culver announced that NBT Bank will be partnering with the Cortland Housing Assistance Council to offer its Home in the City Program in Cortland.
The Home in the City Program, according to Culver, “is a program designed to encourage homeownership in Cortland.”
The program also offers potential homebuyers an opportunity to meet with an NBT Bank loan originator to help determine the amount they qualify for a home mortgage.
In addition, the Cortland Housing Assistance Council is offering homebuyer education classes to help prepare participants for homeownership. Topics covered in the classes include home maintenance, how to select a realtor and mortgage lender, and more.
