The distribution of Cortland County Sales Tax revenue will change in 2019.
That’s the result of a vote at a special meeting of the Cortland County Legislature Thursday night.
The county will claim 54%, the city will be allocated 17.75% and 28.25% will be shared among other municipalities.
The County plans to take $1.5 million off the top and Legislature Chair Charles Sudbrink says the amounts that money will be used for will be spelled out at next Thursday’s regular Legislature meeting.
The county percentage will go up one percent each of the first five years of the ten year edict. City and town/village shares will drop to accommodate the county.
