Look: Troopers Ask For Assistance In Identifying Walmart Theft Suspect

New York State Police at Homer are investigating a theft that occurred at Wal-Mart on Bennie Road, in the town of Cortlandville.

On Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2018, at about 1:06 pm, an unknown suspect attempted to steal almost $250 worth of electronics.

According to investigators, the man left the store without paying, and was stopped by two asset protection employees in the parking who recovered the stolen property from him.

The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a two-toned colored brown jacket that zips up and has a hood, and blue jeans.

He eventually fled as he drove away in an older, dark colored, hatchback car that had a loud exhaust. The suspect vehicle traveled northbound on State Route 13.
