More performers have been announced for Fleetwood Mac’s 2018 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute set for January 26th. Over the course of the night, selections from the band’s legendary catalogue will be performed by Imagine Dragons, Keith Urban, OneRepublic, Harry Styles, Juanes, Alison Krauss and Jerry Douglas, HAIM, Lorde, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Brandi Carlile, and Miley Cyrus. Fleetwood Mac will close the evening’s performances and President Bill Clinton will present their award. Don Was serve as the evening’s musical director. More guest performers will be announced shortly.
Stevie Nicks believes the art of songwriting is an act of healing for both the creator and the listener: “To me, the music is writing songs and that is to be able to write something that maybe at a time in somebody else’s life, they need a little help or a little inspiration, or something, that they would sit down and listen to something I wrote and it would just either make them feel a little better or they’d be able to go ‘Somebody else’s been there, too — and that helps me.'”
Coming on January 19th is a deluxe reissue of Fleetwood Mac’s classic 1975 self-titled album. The deluxe edition features the original album with newly remastered audio on CD and LP; rare and unreleased studio and live recordings; plus a DVD with 5.1 Surround Sound and high-resolution mixes of the original album.
In addition to the second disc featuring early studio versions of the album’s tracks, the third CD spotlights newly mixed live tapes from the band’s 1975 and 1976 dates in support of the album.
