Village Of Homer Board Of Trustees Meets Tonight, Considers Two Main Street Projects

Local News

The Village of Homer may apply for state funding for two projects, and the Board of Trustees holds a public hearing tonight (Wednesday).

The Village is focusing on the site of the former Wheadon Building that burned on Main Street 15 months ago, and the Barber Block, at 1-3 S. Main Street.

Up to a million dollars could be spent if the Empire State Development Corporation approves.

The goal of the Restore New York Round 5 funding program is to promote economic development, preserve community resources and hopefully, provide jobs.
