Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (R-22 CD) Wednesday joined the President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and other Republican Senators and Members of Congress to push for an increase in the Child Tax Credit.

Tenney told Ivanka Trump about the adversity she had to overcome as a single mother, and promised to support Ivanka’s push to expand the child tax credit.

“It was really tough to actually maintain my family business, care for my parents, raise my son,” said Rep. Tenney. “This is gonna be really helpful to keep families together and also to help single parents out there who really want to work.”

GOP Members called for the $1,000 tax credit to be doubled.
