Guilty Pleas From County Court On Tuesday

Donavin Fink, Jr, of Cortland pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon in Cortland County Court to a felony charge of Robbery for stealing a purse from a SUNY Cortland student, his first felony conviction.

He was also ordered to pay back $250 in restitution.

County District Attorney Patrick Perfetti allowed the plea to satisfy unrelated assault charges against the 17-year old.

Fink could receive up to seven years in prison at sentencing in September.

Kylie Poole, 23, who told Cortland County Court Judge William Ames she dropped out of school in the 8th grade at age 16, also pleaded guilty Tuesday.

She admitted to twice selling drugs to a confidential informant in April.

Poole told the court she sold drugs to pay for her heroin addiction.

This marked her first felony conviction.

Poole is expected to be sentenced in October to two years in prison, including a year of the Willard drug treatment program, then two years’ probation.


23-year old Santo Oliver admitted to County Court Judge William Ames that he violated conditions of his parole.

Oliver walked out of a drug treatment program, and tested positive for drug use several times since last fall, including fentanyl, marijuana, and suboxone.

In September he could be sentenced to up to 9 years in prison.
