Latest Round Of Storms Has Brought Heavy Flooding To Southern Cortland County

A heavy rain storm brought lots of water to southern Cortland County earlier this evening. (July 14th)

According to emergency radio reports from Virgil, Harford, Cincinnatus, Marathon Fire Departments and the City of Cortland’s Swift Water Rescue were on the scene of multiple calls related to heavy flooding.

Multiple roads in Southern Cortland County have been shut down at this hour.

The Town of Virgil is virtually closed. Fire officials urge you to stay out of the area.

Route 222 and Route 392 at the Four Corners in Virgil is closed.
