The latest round of heavy showers and thunderstorms has produced another 1 to 2 plus inches of rain across portions of central New York through early this afternoon. There may be a break this evening before additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms move in overnight and continue Friday. This will produce a continuing potential for flash flooding, especially for areas that have already received significant rainfall.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
