Cortland Police Make Two Arrests On Central Avenue Early Sunday

A man from Lisle accused of threatening someone with a pocket knife was arrested by Cortland Police early Sunday morning on Central Avenue.

Vincent Stanton, who is 17, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and unauthorized use of a license.

Police say he had a fake ID.

Stanton was released until his next court appearance on June 9.


A man from Windsor who allegedly had a stun gun was arrested by Cortland Police following a disturbance at about 2:25 Sunday morning at Central Ave and Church Street.

Brandon Stanton, 22, faces a weapons possession charge when he appears in Cortland City Court on June 9.
