Rick Springfield, Loverboy, & The Romantics Out On Tour

Music News

Rick Springfield, Loverboy, and the Romantics are joining forces this summer to take the best-loved tunes of the 1980’s out on the road. The 14-date tour kicks off on August 30th in Saint Augustine, Florida at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and winds down on September 23rd Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre.

We asked Rick Springfield if there was a point when he realized making a career in music would entail things that had nothing to do with being a songwriter-performer: “Pretty much from the get-go, that it’s my job and the thing that I love to do is make music, and people getting to hear it is, again, up to the will of the gods. So, I understand all the extra stuff that goes with it. It doesn’t bother me. Y’know, anything that draws attention to the music is okay with me, you know? If they want to talk about General Hospital, or my dog or whatever — whatever gets attention to the music.”
