Menacing and weapons charges face a man from Cortland.
Police say Raymond Cole, Jr, 55, of Cortland, was arrested early New Year’s Day.
According to information provided by police, Cole was at a home on Main Street and allegedly threatening a 22-year old woman and 25-year old man with a knife.
Cole is at the county jail with no bail offered, and a court today Tuesday.
Drug possession with intent to sell charges for a woman from Freeville who was arrested by Cortland Police on New Year’s Eve.
Police tell us that Sherry Cummings, 26, was stopped on Port Watson Street at about 9:40 pm.
Officers say she was driving without a license, and that they found 52 MDMA pills (Molly) in the vehicle.
Gary Levern, 38, also of Freeville, was in the vehicle.
Police charged him with criminal impersonation and violating the synthetic marijuana law.
Both are due in court later this month.
