Don Henley Solo Album Coming This Fall

Music News

Don Henley’s long-awaited new solo album, called Cass County, will be released either in the late summer or early fall, according to the Eagles drummer. Cass County, which is Henley’s fifth solo set, is co-produced by Henley’s longtime collaborator, former Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers drummer, Stan Lynch.

Henley gave a status update for the album on Chideo Charity Network, revealing: “So far, I’ve recorded 17 songs. I’ve been working on it (for) the last four, five years. ‘Sort of has a country flavor, I guess you could categorize some of it as country, some of it could be called Americana, and I intend to record a couple more and then we’ll start the culling process. I’m told now you put out a regular album and then you put out a deluxe version that has extra songs on it. So, I’ve got plenty of extra songs for the deluxe version. And as always, I’ve got my co-producer and my co-writer, Stan Lynch, workin’ with me on that, some really interesting guest stars on the album. Some duets and one trio. I don’t wanna give away too much of it, but there are some very interesting people on the album in unexpected combinations.”
