Homer Village Trustees Meet Tuesday Night

Local News

During its December village board meeting Tuesday evening, trustees approved transferring about $19,671 from a fire department reserve account, to pay for fire truck repairs.

The mayor mentioned two new DPW employees, Nick Casterline and John Morse, and informed residents that the village has hired Mike Talarico as part-time recreation director.

The village DPW hopes residents will resist raking leaves into the street because they wind clogging the storm drains. Crews will do their best to resume pickups. Residents can also bring leaves to the village compost site on Fulton Street. Although it is closed for the season, staff will allow entry for leaf drop-off.
