Main Street Traffic Stop Leads To Methamphetamine Arrests

Cortland Police say Saturday morning, officers stopped a car at Main and Huntington Streets on the south side of the city.

During the stop, officers report finding meth and materials to make it.

James Duff, 38, and Troy Schermerhorn, 27, were arrested on felony charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with the intent to sell.

Early Monday, Duff was in the Cortland County Jail awaiting $25,000 cash bail.

Schermerhorn’s bail was set at $50,000 (no photo available).

Both were to be arraigned Monday.
