A man from Cortland is accused of following and confronting an SPCA investigator Thursday.

Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the SPCA shelter on McLean Road around 2:30 pm.

Karl Morse, 45, was arrested for felony menacing a police or peace officer, and weapons possession.

The Sheriff’s report indicates an SPCA investigator went to Morse’s home on Lamont Circle and warned a family member about their loose dog.

Deputies say Morse had a knife and confronted the SPCA investigator at the shelter.

No one was injured.

Morse is due back in Cortlandville court on Halloween.
