Is an Eagles Broadway Musical In The Works???

Music News

Can fans expect an Eagles musical to make its way to Broadway??? Co-founder Glenn Frey hinted to The New York Daily News during Saturday night’s (April 4th) Garden of Laughs benefit at Madison Square Garden, that there’s been a reason why he’s been seen out and about in the Big Apple, explaining, “I’m going to see a lot of shows, so you never know.” Frey named checked the Carole King musical Beautiful as a one of his recent favorites.

When pressed as to whether a prospective Eagles musical would delve into the band’s legendary and infamous history of infighting, Frey laughed and said: “Conversations. Give and take.”

Glenn Frey told us that as the band matures, they’re far more comfortable with the public understanding the back story and machinations involved in the Eagles’ past and present: “When an Eagles song comes on, people go to a place, that it’s their place, it’s not our place. They hear these songs and they identify and they think and their thoughts an their feelings.

I think it’s the same thing with the (History Of The Eagles) movie. Y’know, the difference is is that nobody really knows who we are. And at least they’ll get to see a little bit of who the guys in the band are and how we get along and now we interact, so that’s kind of nice to share with everybody, ’cause we haven’t really done any of that. We’ve been a pretty private group, really.” July 15 – Hartford, CT – XL Center July 17 – Atlantic City, NJ – Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall July 18 – Buffalo, NY – First Niagara Center July 20 – Baltimore, MD – Royal Farms Arena July 22 – Dayton, OH – Wright State University’s Nutter Center July 24 – Detroit, MI – Joe Louis Arena July 25 – Lexington, KY – Rupp Arena July 27 – North Little Rock, AK – Verizon Arena July 29 – Bossier City, LA – CenturyLink Center
