Four companies in Tompkins and Cortland counties will better train their employees thanks to $60,000 in grants from the SUNY Community College Workforce Development Training program.
The aim is to create and retain jobs.
This year, 730 local jobs, which is part of an 11 year total of nearly 8,000.
- Ames Linen of Cortland is in for group leader communication training
- Cortland Regional Medical Center for communication and customer services training to improve the quality of patient care
- Two Ithaca companies are also in this year – Storke H&E Turboblading and Tompkins Financial
