Dropped Needles Lead To Arrest in Preble

Local News

Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies say someone complained to them that Candace Hughes, 28, of Marybelle Road in Tully had dropped drug paraphernalia in another resident’s driveway on Friday.

Officers determined that the paraphernalia, which included four hypodermic needles, belonged to Hughes.

They say she couldn’t produce a needle exchange card when asked.

Hughes was charged with possessing a hypodermic instrument and ticketed to return to Preble Town Court on September 13.
