A truck went off I-81 at the Tully exit early Wednesday.
The driver’s call for help went to both Onondaga and Cortland County emergency dispatchers.
The driver, who was reportedly unable to get out of the vehicle, thought he was south of Cortland.
State, county, and Cortland Police searched for about 45 minutes before learning that a trace of the driver’s cellphone put him near the Tully exit.
Onondaga county first responders took over at the scene, and the Tully exit ramp from I-81 South was closed until about 8:15 am.
