A new report claims one of the two suspects in the kidnapping of two young Amish girls last August initially planned on killing children.
A Watertown t.v station reports 39-year-old Stephen Howells planned on killing the Amish sisters then burying their bodies to hide the crime, but his girlfriend, 25-year-old Nicole Vaisey, convinced him to let the girls go instead.
The couple remains in federal custody on child pornography and child exploitation charges involving 6 young girls, including the two Amish girls they are accused of abducting.
A Saint Lawrence County Grand Jury indicted Howells and Vaisey back in October. The case is set to go to trial this summer.
