The Cortland YMCA will purchase the property next door, owned by Paul Lorenzo, at 30 Tompkins Street.
According to a news release to WXHC, Executive Director David Hamilton expects the sale to close by the end of July.
The property could become additional office space, although the final uses have not been determined.
There will be additional parking for staff and that should free up spaces in the member’s lot and reduce crowding.
No purchase price was disclosed.
Sunday morning, the YMCA’s biggest fundraiser of the year launches from near the fairgrounds on Homer Avenue.
The 20th annual Bon Ton Roulet is a weeklong bicycle trek through and around the Finger Lakes.
About 400 bicyclists are expected to leave at around 8 am Sunday.
They will spend the week cycling around the beautiful lake country to raise money for scholarships and Y projects.
