Bryan Adams Says Latest Album Has Come Alive On The Road

Music News

Bryan Adams kicks off his North American summer dates tonight (July 21st) at Chicago’s FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Although Adams has never been known to shy away from playing his classic ’80s hits — this time around, both he and the crowds have been particularly grooving to the tracks from his latest album, the Jeff Lynne-produced Get Up.

Adams told us that the new songs began clicking live from the get-go: “What’s interesting is that they all seem to work as if they’ve always been around for longer than they have been. The songs seem to work really well instantly in the show as if they’ve always been there. Y’know, I’ve done a lot of records where they’ve sounded great in the studio and you get to the stage and it’s like — eh. This album doesn’t have that at all. Every single song seems to work brilliantly live.”
