Saturday, on Meet Cortland County you have a chance to experience the Civil War.
Re-enactors will set up camp at the CNY Living History Center on Route 11.
Our guest is Kevin Walsh, President of the Board of Trustees of the Homeville Museum at the Central New York Living History Center.
“The Civil War Camp will go up behind the museum and the entire day of Saturday and Sunday they will be demonstrating the drills and the camp life of Civil War soldiers.”
Walsh says visitors will see and hear infantry, artillery and cavalry drills, as well as Fife and Drum music of that era.
Portrayals of General Robert E. Lee and Union General Lewis Armistead are also planned.
Kevin Walsh of the CNY Living History Center, our guest Saturday at 9 am on Meet Cortland County, only on Oldies 101.5 – Your Hometown Station.
