Voters in Dryden have the opportunity to decide Tuesday if the town should spend nearly $72,000 to buy 15 acres of land on Pinckney Road, across Fall Creek from Campbell Meadow, the town-owned nature preserve.
The Town hopes to build a park and connect to nearby trails.
Tompkins County is contributing $15,000 toward the purchase price.
This permissive referendum was forced by some town residents who don’t like the plan.
Voting is from noon to 8 pm Tuesday.
Eastsiders vote at the Dryden Fire Station, Westsiders at the Varna Community Center.
