It’s rare that a summer shed tour can promise back to back sets with three bona fide Rock and Roll Hall of Fame groups, but that’s indeed the case with Heart, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and Cheap Trick’s upcoming trek. The 30-date “The Rock Hall Three For All” tour kicks off on July 14th in Clarkston, Michigan at DTE Energy Music Theatre and runs through September 23rd at West Palm Beach, Florida’s Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre.
Heart entered the Rock Hall in 2013, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts in 2015, and on April 8th Cheap Trick will be inducted at the 2016 ceremonies at Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center.
At her induction, Joan Jett spoke frankly about the passion and promise of true rock n’ roll: “I come from a place where rock n’ roll means something. It means more than music, it means more than fashion, more than a good pose. It’s a language of a sub-culture that has made eternal teenagers of all who follow it. It’s a sub-culture of integrity, rebellion, frustration, alienation, and the glue that set several generations free of unnatural societal self-suppression.”
