State Police have charged an inmate in the Tompkins County Jail who is accused of making multiple harassing calls from the jail.
Troopers say 57-year-old Michael Delario Jr. of Ithaca made more than 50 telephone calls over a 10-day period to a woman who had an order of protection prohibiting him from contacting her.
Delario is now charged with criminal contempt.
Police didn’t say why he was in jail to begin with.
Delario was arraigned on the charge and sent back to jail.
