We Now Know Who Carly Simon Is Singing About, For The Most Part Anyway On ‘You’re So Vain’

What We're Talking About

After much speculation, Carly Simon has finally confirmed who she is at least partially singing about on her 1972 track  “You’re So Vain.”

She currently out promoting her new autobiography titled ‘Boys In The Trees” and in an interview with People Magazine, as part of her book tour, she revealed that the second verse:

You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me
I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee

Is about the actor Warren Beatty.

And as for the other two verses and about who those are about we can still speculate.
