Foreigner Announces Initial 2016 Tour Dates

Music News

Foreigner is the latest band to roll out its initial 2016 dates. The group led by co-founding guitarist Mick Jones and fronted by Kelly Hansen, will kick off the New Year in February 11th at Westbury, New York’s NYCB Theatre At Westbury and, as of now, has dates on the books through May 26th when they hit Durant, Oklahoma’s Choctaw Grand Theatre. The band’s next date — and last of 2015 — is set for December 6th at Key Largo, Florida’s Ocean Reef Cultural Center.

Mick Jones told us that following lead singer Lou Gramm’s departure from the band in 2002, it was only natural for him to continue carrying on Foreigner’s legacy — both on tour and in the studio: “I felt that having been the visionary of the band, and the founder, and the main writer in the band, and having sort of taught everyone along the way what to do (laughs), I had pretty much of a vested interest in it. I was very proud of what we’d achieved, y’know? But it was definitely very personal to me, and hence my decision to finally pick it up again.”
