The Cortland County Finance & Administration committee meets at 10 am today.
It’s the lone committee meeting of the month, after the rest were cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns at the county office building. Those will start to get addressed this morning.
Up for consideration is a capital improvement project to the legislative chambers, aimed at improving capabilities related to social distancing and virtual meeting access.
Limited spacing and dated technology currently make both difficult.
Around $9k would allow an architect to develop plans that legislators would later decide on pursuing with more funds.
Money for the project comes from the Processional Services account out of a total $55k transfer of unused funds from last year’s budget line.
There is also over $4,500 in work still to be done on the previously-approved County Office Building Entrance and Security Project.
Both projects will be discussed at today’s committee meeting.
County officials will also give an update on vaccinations tonight at 6 pm.
