Cortland County health officials reported another covid-19 death yesterday (November 1), adding up to 82 total during the pandemic.
Just over half (55%) the fatalities thus far have been local nursing home residents.
The 81st was reported on Thursday (October 28).
Nearly three-quarters (74.31%) of all new cases added last week were unvaccinated individuals.
Currently, 127 are positive and six people are hospitalized.
According to the CDC, an estimated 54% of the entire county population is fully immunized.
