6th Annual Cherry Pit Spittin’ Contest Happening Tomorrow – Money Raised to Fight Alzheimer’s

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 27th, will be the 6th annual Cherry Pit Spittin’ Contest, a fund raising event to support ending Alzheimer’s. The annual event is being organized by Vice Commander for the Homer American Legion Post 465, Joe Riley, with the contest beginning at 1pm in the back parking lot of the American Legion and Homer Fire Department.

The fundraiser will also include live music from B-Shift, food, and drinks. The cost to participate in the contest itself, which saw a record of 36 feet last year, is only a $10 donation. All money will go towards the Alzheimer’s Association.
