28th Annual United Way Day of Caring Today


Today, September 20th, is the 28th annual United Way Day of Caring, the United Way of Cortland County has announced. Throughout the month, both businesses and organizations have had collection boxes for the Wendy Thibeault Memorial Food & Supply Drive. All items that have been donated are being distributed to 12 food programs county-wide.

There will also be community projects taking place at multiple locations throughout the Cortland area. Those projects include: planting tulips in Dexter and Beaudry Park, City Hall, Courthouse Park, and the Youth Bureau, painting and landscape clean-up projects at Clinton Ave/Pomeroy, Salvation Army on South Main, Center for the Arts, and Dwyer Park in Little York.

Students from McGraw High School will also participate in community service projects within the Village of McGraw with it becoming a tradition for students to participate in the community.
