$28,000 Raised During Chef’s Take A Stand Event Hosted by YWCA

The annual Chef’s Take A Stand event at Greek Peaks The Lookout at Hope Lake on Tuesday, October 3rd, was a huge success. The YWCA says they raised $28,000 through the event alone in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Money raised will go towards supporting survivors of domestic violence. This year’s event sold out with 250 tickets and featured about 25 local officials, business owners, and professional chefs competing for a purple apron for best chef.
