$15 Hourly Wage Begins In January At The William George Agency

Local News

An eye-opening starting wage with the New Year at the William George Agency residential treatment facility.

The agency will offer a starting salary of $15 per hour for youth care workers.

Interim Director Ron Trumino says this shows the commitment to employees, “Because our program is only as the quality of the staff that we have on the job and we think the program’s pretty good and we want that to continue. We’ve been around for about 122 years and we anticipate being around for another hundred years and continuing our mission to serve children and their families.”

Trumino says the William George Agency supports the growth of its employees, providing tools and resources for professional development and career advancement. “We want the highest quality workforce that we can attract, and it’s not simply who walks through the door, it’s what you do with them and for them after they join our team.”

Trumino told X101 he hopes to attract employees who share his passion for the work done at William George Agency. “I’ve been doing this for 46 years and I’ve seen a lot of youngsters helped in this type of environment and I’ve seen a lot go on to be highly successful and lead productive lives and be contributing members of their communities.”
