On Tuesday, February 21st, around 4:15pm, the Otisco Fire Department received a report of a possible structure fire on Stevens Rd. Otisco Car1 immediately responded and saw smoke showing from miles out from the address.
The structure fire was confirmed to be a barn fully engulfed in flames and smoke. Due to the size of the fire and location of the fire, 15 fire departments from Onondaga and Cortland Counties responded.

Firefighters worked for 90 minutes to contain the fire and protect other areas from exposure. A majority of the fire departments remained on scene for nearly 6 hours with additional fire crews called in to rotate manpower.
The barn is deemed a total loss and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Departments assisting the Otisco Fire Department were: Amber, South Onondaga, Tully, Navarino, Lafayette, Fabius, Pompey, Onondaga Hill, Skaneateles, Spafford, Borodino, Preble, Homer, and Marcellus Fire Departments.
