A Town of Willet man has been sentenced to probation after admitting to possessing meth.
Back in July of 2014, Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a tip about possible meth production in a camper that was parked along Route 221 in Willet.
Deputies found 46-year-old James Homza Jr. was living in the trailer. During the investigation, they found him with a small amount of methamphetamine. A search of the trailer turned up the items used to produce the drug. Police also found a small amount of marijuana.
Homza was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Homza pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree. On Tuesday he was sentenced to five years of probation.
