The 13th annual Cortland Community Arts Challenge has begun and all Cortland County artists, dancers, musicians, photographers, and writers are being encouraged to participate.
The challenge is a juried competition, co-sponsored by the Center for the Arts in Homer, and Cortland Arts Connect. Cash prizes will be awarded in six major categories.
Those categories are:
- Fine Arts
- Artisan Crafts
- Musical Composition
The challenge has a specific theme for this year. The challenge is “BEND” and submitted works will be judged on creativity and skillfulness that they show in this year’s theme.

- November 1st is the entry deadline and by November 30th, artists will receive a confirmation of their status on their submission.
- January 27, 2023 will be the grand opening ceremony of the Community Arts Challenge and then in March of 2023, prizes will be awarded.
