Tonight at 6:15 pm, is the grand opening of the 13th annual Community Arts Challenge at the Center for the Arts in Homer and the public is being invited to attend.
The theme for this artistic event is BEND and will include an exhibit of visual art entries, performances of the music, dance, and poetry entries. There will also be the awarding of prizes in the categories of fine arts, photography, artisan crafts, choreography, music, and writing.
Performances will begin at 7pm. Over 80 artists have entered into the competition this year. The visual art exhibit will remain open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 am to 4 pm until February 17th.
The event is co-sponsored by the Center for the Arts and Cortland Arts Connect.
