Cortland County reported ten COVID-19 deaths over the weekend, including six people who were hospitalized and four local nursing home residents.
Seven of these fatalities came yesterday. The other three are from Friday.
A total of 45 residents are now dead from the virus, 30 in local nursing homes.
Active cases once again exceed 300 and the county is now beyond 2,500 total since March.
Twenty-six people are currently in the hospital.
Last week, city mayor Brian Tobin announced he tested positive but says he is feeling okay.
Health officials worry another surge could be oncoming from the extended holiday season.
