10 and 13 Year Old Held at Gunpoint During Home Invasion in Ithaca

Around 11:30 at night on Friday, December 16th, the City of Ithaca Police Department responded to the area of the 400 block of Spencer Rd, for a reported home invasion that just occurred.

The caller to 9-1-1 reported seeing at least 4 to 5 black males that went into an apartment in the building, all wearing a Halloween style mask and armed with guns.

The suspects that entered the apartment held a 10 and a 13 year old at gunpoint. Other suspects then went upstairs to the victims bedroom and assaulted the victim with punches and strikes to their head by a handgun.

Witnesses reported to police that the suspects had at least 2 handguns, and another suspect had in his possession a long gun, possibly a rifle. The suspects were able to get inside the apartment via an unlocked door.

The victim that was assaulted was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Ithaca City Police are currently investigating the incident.
