John Eves
General Manager

Born and raised in Cortland, John graduated Cortland High School in in 1968. Soon after graduating Ithaca College he began his disguinished broadcasting career. John's resume includes radio stations KVMT in Vail, and KHOW & KLDR in Denver. Television stations KJCT in Grand Junction, KWGN in Denver, KRDO in Colorado Springs and WTVH in Syracuse. John was twice awarded the Colorado TV Sportscaster Of The Year, twice awarded the Syracuse Press Club Best Sportscast, and in 1988 John won a New York State Emmy Award! John's dream of owning his own radio station became a reality when he signed on Hometown Radio WXHC in June of 1991. John Lives in Cortland with his wife Patty, twins Michael & Megan and Jack. John enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, boating and spending time with his family.

Bruce Eves
Sales Manager

Bruce was born and raised in Cortland and after graduating he went on to major in Liberal Arts at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica. His love of skiing lured him west to Vail, Colorado where he worked in hotel sales for 12 years. After returning to Central New York he joined his brother John as a partner in the broadcast industry, becoming the General Sales Manager at Oldies 101.5. Bruce is an avid Yankees fan and lives in Homer with his wife Lisa and sons Greg and Jeff. He loves to cook, and makes a mean broiled swordfish (a secret family recipe) which he refuses to give up. In his spare time he volunteers as a basketball coach and loves swimming, watching sports, vacationing and spending time with his family, especially fishing with his sons.

Sonny grew up and attended school in Johnstown, NY. At the age of 16 and still in high school he got his first job in radio at his hometown station, WIZR AM-FM. At 20 he moved to Albany, NY to attend and graduate at the top of his class at the New School Of Contemporary Radio. From there he traveled across Upstate & Western NY, working at stations such as WKYZ/Y93 in Utica, WECK & WBEN/Rock 102 in Buffalo, WKRT & I-100 in Cortland and in 1999 joined WXHC/Oldies 101.5 as Operations & Program Manager and morning host. Sonny enjoys a competitive game of pool or foosball, likes to bowl and loves seafood! Sonny owns & operates DJ Sonny King DJ Service in Cortland and in his spare time loves to watch movies, work in his home recording studio and just hang out. A lifelong bachelor, Sonny lives in Cortland.

Eric Mulvihill
News Director
6am - Noon Weekdays

Eric graduated from Homer in 1996 and went on to graduate with an Associates Degree in Communications from TC3 in Dryden. Eric's past broadcast experience includes WKRT/I-100 in Cortland and WHCU in Ithaca. He joined the staff of Oldies 101.5 as News Director in September of 2002. Eric lives in Homer with his fiance Alex, and enjoys reading, writing, music and film and in his spare time loves downhill skiing, hiking and biking. Eric is also involved with his community as a board member of the Cortland County Red Cross, a member of the Young Professionals Network and Commander of the Sons of The American Legion Post 465 in Homer, NY.

Bobby Comstock Jr.
Assistant Program Manager
Noon -6pm Weekdays - Saturday 6-10am

Born in Ithaca and now living in Cortland, Bobby graduated from the Alternative Community School and started his radio career in 1981 at WVBR in Ithaca. Fresh out of high school he began working at WTKO & WHCU in Ithaca, and also worked at WAVR in Sayre, PA & WPIE in Trumansburg. Bobby took time off from radio to work in Child Care & Human Services until he came to WXHC/Oldies 101.5 in March of 2004 as the afternoon host. Bobby's knowledge of Oldies history brings a wealth of information to his listeners weekday afternoons. Bobby is no stranger to Rock & Roll either.... He traveled and played with his dad, recording artist Bobby Comstock Sr., a 50's & 60's Rock & Roll icon in Central New York. He loves anything Italian and enjoys collecting old time radio programs, records and is an avid sports fan.

 

Rhonda Torbitt
Office Manager

Growing up in Cortland, Rhonda graduated Cortland High School and then went on to graduate from the Central City Business Institute in Syracuse. She previously worked in radio at WKRT/I100 in Cortland before her administrative and office background brought her to WXHC/Oldies 101.5 in 2000 as Office Manager. Rhonda is the first person you'll meet when coming through the door at Oldies 101.5 and she will always greet you with a smile! Rhonda lives in Cortland and has three children, Trisha who attends SUNY Oswego, and Scott & Lynzi who attend Cortland schools. Rhonda enjoys cooking, reading, shopping, visits with her best friend and family, watching movies under a cozy blanket with her kids and taking walks with her fiance Steve.
