The Cortland Crush's home game with the Syracuse Junior Chiefs last night was postponed due to weather and poor field conditions. The Crush have a doubleheader scheduled with Oneonta tonight at Beaudry Park starting at 5pm, weather permitting.

Five members of the Cortland baseball team have been chosen to the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Upstate New York all-star team. Senior designated hitter P.J. Rinaldi was selected to the All-ECAC first team. Senior third baseman Anthony Iacomini,  junior outfielders Vinny Bomasuto and Donny Castaldo, and junior pitcher Brandon McClain were second-team selections.

In Minor League Baseball, Binghamton doubled-up on Altoona 12-6. The teams will finish their current series in Akron tonight. Elsewhere, the Syracuse Chiefs will host Norfolk tonight, after a day off yesterday. Don't forget, Opening night for the Auburn Doubledays is tomorrow night at Falcon Park against the Batavia Muckdogs.

The Syracuse Crunch will bring Hockey to the Carrier Dome in November. The team will host the " Frozen Dome " weekend on November 21-22. Youth Hockey and charity games will be played, as well as a college game between Oswego State and Utica College. This leads up to the game between the Crunch and Utica Comets on the 22nd.

Dustin Brown scored the lone Kings goal last night in a 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers. Los Angeles leads the Stanley Cup Final series 3-1, with Game 5 set for Friday in LA. Henrik Lundqvist made 40 saves for the Rangers in the victory.

The Miami Heat are going to make an attempt to sign Carmelo Anthony. Team officials and players have been working on the financial ends already, including potential pay cuts for the players. Anthony had until June 23rd to opt out of his contract with the Knicks. Reports say he would take a pay cut to play with the Heat, but Anthony has said in the past that it's about winning more than money.
