The Cortland Crush's doubleheader with Oneonta was postponed last night due to weather. the Crush visit the Syracuse Salt Cats tonight and are scheduled for a home game on Wednesday against the Syracuse Jr. Chiefs.

SUNY Cortland senior Jessica Lavelle has been named the national Division III Defender of the Year, for the second straight season, and sophomore Erica Geremia has been selected as the national Division III Attacker of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The awards were presented at the IWLCA All-America Banquet on Saturday, June 7, in Valley Forge, Pa. In addition, Geremia has been honored as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Mid-Atlantic Offensive Player of the Year, and is one of three Red Dragons on the All-ECAC first team along with Lavelle and junior midfielder Emma Hayes-Hurley.

SUNY Cortland senior softball outfielder Meaghan Kohler has been named to the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Upstate New York all-star second team. Kohler batted .323 with nine homers, 11 doubles, 35 runs batted in and 28 runs scored in 43 games, 42 as a starter. She led the Red Dragons in homers and doubles and shared the team lead in RBI. Kohler is Cortland's career leader with 31 homers and 146 RBI and ranks fifth all-time with a .619 career slugging percentage.

The SUNY Cortland men's cross country and track and field teams have finished in 15th place in the 2013-14 United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Al Carius Program of the Year standings.

In Minor League Baseball yesterday, the Syracuse Chiefs edged the Buffalo Bison 6-5. The teams were scheduled for a 10:35am start today. Elsewhere, Altoona beat Binghamton 10-2. The teams will try to play two tonight.

Dustin Brown and the Los Angeles Kings are one win away from their second Stanley Cup Title in three years. LA beat the New York Rangers 3-0 last night, behind Jonathan Quick's 32 saves. The teams play game four tomorrow night in New York.
