The SUNY Cortland Men's Lacrosse team takes on Tufts today in an NCAA Division III Quarterfinal game at Tufts. The winner of that game will meet the winner of today's Union/RPI game in the  semifinals on Sunday.

Also in action today, the SUNY Cortland Baseball team takes on Castleton State at 1:15pm in the first round of the NCAA regionals at Colburn Park in Newark (NY). The tournament continues through the weekend.

SUNY Cortland Women's Golfer Rebecca Studin carded an 80 yesterday in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships yesterday in Florida, good enough to be tied for 17th on the leader board. Studin, the Senior from Ithaca, was scheduled to tee off at 8:30 this morning for her second round. Ithaca College's Lisa Calcasola was the leader after Round 1 with a 75.

TC3 Men's Golfer Kyle Shaw (Groton) has qualified for the NJCAA National Championships, set for early June at Chautauqua Country Club. Shaw posted a two-day total of 161 at the Division III regionals at held at Cornell, good enough for fifth place. Teammate Mike Timmerman II (Cortland) finished in a tie for the for the last spot (167) but lost on the fourth hole of a playoff. Timmerman still earns all-regional honors for his showing.

In Minor League Baseball, Toldeo beat Syracuse 11-5 and Altoona defeated Binghamton 10-3. Both of those series continue today, with the Chiefs/Mudhens game starting at 10:35 AM.
