Just one day after he visited their facilities, The New York Jets have signed free agent Running Back Chris Johnson to a contract. Reports say it's for 2 years and worth up to 9 million dollars.

The New York Giants have signed Quarterback Josh Freeman to a 1 year deal. Freeman was cut by Tampa Bay last October in a personality conflict with the head coach. Freeman will compete for the # 2 depth chart spot with Kyle Painter and former Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib.

The SUNY Cortland Men's Lacrosse team used a balanced offensive attack to defeat Nazareth College 12-9 yesterday. Mike Cantelli and Matt Rakoczy led the offense with two goals and an assist each. Hunter Osbourne (Homer) scored a goal for the Red Dragons, who improve to 11-3 with the win.

Today, the undefeated SUNY Cortland Women's Lacrosse team plays a non-league contest at St. John Fisher.

In Minor League Baseball yesterday, the Syracuse Chiefs edged Lehigh Valley 6-5. The two teams will play a doubleheader today. Meanwhile, the Binghamton Mets game at Portland was postponed due to wet grounds, The B-Mets are home to New Hampshire tonight.

In the AHL, Adirondack edged Syracuse 5-4 in a shootout and Toronto skated by Binghamton 5-4.
